Receiving, checking and recording your stock.

Storage

Space for your goods, on shelves or in pallet bays.

Pick & pack

Collecting, checking and packing products. The number of picks and the packaging are taken into account.

Dispatch

Size, weight, destination and the chosen delivery service.

Returns & bespoke solutions

Check returns and any additional work, such as bundling or adding a card.

Where shall we start?

  • Your average number of orders and peak periods.
  • The various items you sell and their dimensions.
  • How much stock you want to store and how you want your orders to be packed.
  • The countries you dispatch to and the number of returns you receive.

A rough estimate will suffice for the initial discussion. We will go through any missing details together.

A rate for your products

A single small item in a box requires different handling to a set or a large order. That is why you will receive a proposal tailored to your specific requirements and volumes. You can also come to us for pallet storage or additional tasks only.

Which factors determine your fulfilment costs?

  • Orders per month: the volume determines the set-up and scale of the process.
  • Number of products: more products often means more storage locations and more stock management.
  • Dimensions and weight: important for storage, handling and dispatch. Also compare the delivery rates of PostNL, DHL, DPD and UPS.
  • Storage space and turnover rate: fast-moving stock requires a different approach from stock that sits for a long time. See also storage for online shops.
  • Integrations and order flows: for example Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or marketplace orders, and B2C alongside B2B.
  • Service requirements: extra checks, your own packaging, international shipping, returns or a later cut-off.
  • Growth and peaks: we look not only at the present, but also at seasonal peaks and the growth you expect.

How to compare rates without surprises

The lowest base price is not automatically the lowest price per order. So compare quotes on content and on feasibility:

  • Are there minimum volumes or a monthly minimum?
  • What are the contract term and the notice period?
  • Which surcharges apply for extra handling, peak periods or non-standard products?
  • What do returns cost? They can make up a large share of your total costs.
  • Are receiving, storage, pick & pack, support and integrations included?
  • What about integrations, cut-off times and the choice of carriers? These have a direct impact on your margin and your customer experience.

And think ahead: a solution that seems cheap now can lead to switching costs later as your online shop grows.

From quote to go-live

For a suitable quote, we look at your orders per month, number of products, product dimensions, sales channels, storage requirements, returns volume and desired service. This is followed by an intake, analysis, proposal and agreement on what is included. Once you agree, we test the integrations, schedule your stock and the go-live, and discuss exceptions in advance. If you are switching from in-house fulfilment or another provider, we take care of the transition and the integrations.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I receiving a bespoke quote?

Volume, product size, packaging, destination and any additional handling requirements all contribute to your costs. Your quotation should set out the rates and terms applicable to your specific situation.

Do its prices include VAT?

Prices are quoted exclusive of VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise. The amounts and terms and conditions are set out in your proposal.

Can I discuss this first before requesting a quote?

Of course. Please call or email us via the contact page. We’ll discuss what information is required.

What does warehousing cost?

That depends on the space your stock requires, how quickly it turns over and what handling is needed on receipt and dispatch. That’s why we don’t look at storage separately from order processing and dispatch: we first look at your stock profile, your products and your expected growth.

What is a fulfilment centre?

The place and the process where online shop logistics happen: storing stock, processing orders, pick & pack, dispatching and handling returns. At Titan, this also includes the integration with your online shop and other sales channels.

Should I choose a large fulfilment company?

Big doesn’t automatically mean the best match. More important are transparent rates, suitable integrations, good returns handling, flexibility and experience with similar order flows.
