What outsourcing fulfilment actually involves
You hand over your day-to-day order logistics to a specialist partner: from goods receipt up to and including returns processing. Think of storage, stock management, order processing, pick & pack, dispatch and returns. So it’s about more than sending parcels; it is the complete logistics link behind your online shop, your marketplace orders and any B2B shipments.
Outsourcing doesn’t mean losing control. We handle the execution; you keep insight into your stock, order status and the arrangements that matter to your online shop. Still unsure? Read about doing fulfilment yourself or outsourcing it.
When outsourcing is the next step
There is no fixed minimum. The tipping point depends on your order volume, the number of products, your storage space, the complexity of your product range and, above all, the time logistics costs you every day. Is there still a lot of manual work, is your stock spread across several locations, or do peaks and holidays immediately cause disruption? Then logistics is often already holding back your growth. More on this in when to outsource fulfilment.
What we look at together beforehand
- Your products: size, fragility, turnover rate, storage requirements and additional tasks such as bundling or your own packaging.
- Your sales channels: online shop integrations, marketplaces, B2C and B2B flows and international shipping.
- Your service levels: packaging, dispatch, returns, stock updates and how we handle exceptions.
- What is scalable: so that speed and quality are maintained as your volumes grow.
We don’t just look at costs, but also at transparency, communication and process design. The best fulfilment partner is not necessarily the cheapest, but the one that suits your online shop and your growth plans.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I link my own online shop?
Titan works with integrations for various online shop platforms and marketplaces. We’ll check which integration and settings you need.
Can you also process returns?
Yes. We’ll agree on how we receive and check returns. Whether a product can be restocked depends on its condition and your return policy.
How quickly can I switch?
That depends on your product range, integration and stock delivery. We’ll draw up a schedule together.
Is fulfilment also worthwhile for smaller online shops?
Yes. Whether it’s a good fit depends mainly on time pressure, growth plans and logistical complexity. Small teams and entrepreneurs who run their online shop alongside other work also often gain a great deal of peace of mind and focus. Based on your current order flow, we assess which set-up makes sense.
What is the difference between shipping and fulfilment?
A carrier delivers the parcel. A fulfilment partner organises the whole process before that: storage, order processing, pick & pack and returns. Carriers are therefore one part of fulfilment, but your choice of partner concerns your complete online shop logistics.
